We had a great sailing holiday at Greece while winter decided to stay a little longer here this year - brrr. 

What a great decision to enjoy sun, wind and peace. To sail with the company of dolphins, jump into the sea and climb up to the mast...

First snow has arrived

It has snowed yesterday, early this year... last weekend we were sitting at the table in T-Shirts and enjoy the warm October sun.

Our "scary" pumpkin... designed by the little ones. 

Next year we have chosen a design which is really spooky...

games with the whole family.

It's time for welcoming a new season as it seems: the mornings are crisp, the spiderwebs are in the bushes, the apples are about to be picked from the tree, the rose hips are in a fantastic red and the last rose is showing its beauty in our garden.

Yesterday a friend and I made the "Schultuete", a large cornet of cardboard filled with sweets and little presents given to children in Germany on their first day at school. Time flies, I mean hasn't she just had her first day of Kindergarden? Sigh...

Osternest - Easter Nest

For the past couple of years, some days before easter, our neighbour a nice old lady, keeps asking the children if they have already prepared their easter nest.

I was always wondering what this is.

Now I know, as I found one in our friends garden and easter bunny leaves some chocolate eggs every now and then.

Of course the kids and I went to the woods today, picked up some good branches and chose suitable moss.

Together with daddy we all built the easter nest:

carefully decorated and made with love and laughther.

And guess what, easter bunny already left four little eggs for all of us.

I wonder if he will visit us again?

Willkommen - Welcome

Meine Schwester hat heute ihr zweites Baby bekommen - noch ein kleines Mädchen. Alle sind gesund und morgen werden wir die kleine Maus das erste Mal sehen.

My sister got her second Baby today - another little girl. All are doing well and tomorrow we will see the little mouse for the first time.

Monkeys and Dolls

This is me being 5 years old on the 25th December 1979.

The day before Santa Clause gave me the monkey "Tim" and the black doll "Lisa" which could cry real tears when the arm was put down.

How proud was I being a new Mom to those lovely friends of mine. My father always told us that our toys will be awake once we are alseep and so I took good care of them especially when they were lying next to me in my bed and I made sure they were covered with my blanket so they would not be cold in the night.

I remember one day my monkey lost his eye. I cried and cried and my Mother did all she could to stop my tears. But she succeded only when she was sitting down next to me and glued the eye back at place. So my little friend could see again and all was good.

Fortunately I have never lost a doll or toy though I must admit I don't know where the monkey is now... I have all other toys still here, so in case you find it, you know where it belongs!

Wir sind zurück von unserem ersten richtigen Urlaub seitdem wir Kinder haben! Auf Mallorca haben wir traumhafte Sommertage, Strand und Meer, leckeres Essen, schöne Aussichten und eine entspannende Zeit genossen!

We are back from our first real holiday since we have kids! We enjoyed beautiful summerdays, beach and sea, delicious food, stunning views and a relaxing time!

Zuletzt habe ich Euch das Aquarium gezeigt, daß wir nach der Vorlage von made by joel gemacht haben. Nun ist die Papier Stadt fertig.

Recently I showed you the Aquarium we made after the template of made by joel. Now the Paper City is done.

Über den Blog von Kristi habe ich den Blog von Joel entdeckt und ich bin begeistert. Von ihm haben wir die Idee dieses Aquariums und heute haben die Kinder und ich es gebastelt. Schön, nicht?

Die Papier Stadt habe ich bereits ausgedruckt und bemalt, wenn die Kinder schlafen werde ich mich an den Aufbau machen...

Through Kristis Blog I found the blog made by joel and I am amazed. From him we have the idea of the Aquarium and the kids and I crafted it today, nice isn't it?

Paper City is printed and coloured already and when the kids are asleep I will make the set up for it...

Wir sind den schlechten Wettervorhersagen entflohen und hatten einige herrliche, erholsame und spannende Tage in Österreich.

Wenn ihr mal in der Gegend seid, solltet ihr hier mal vorbeigucken, Hexenwasser heißt der Ort. Die Kinder und ich hatten solchen Spaß, wir haben die Ruhe genossen und haben das Wasser verhext, so wie es uns verhexte...

We were trying to get away from the bad weather forecast and had some amazing, relaxing and exciting days at Austria.

In case you are around this area you should go there, it is called Hexenwasser (Whitch Water). The kids and I had so much fun, we enjoyed the peace and were bewitching the water as much as it was bewitching us...
